Game Description
Dead by Daylight v1.0.2 Hotfix 2 brings a bunch of important fixes and small changes to make the game smoother and more fun for everyone. Here’s what’s new and what got fixed in this hotfix:
Map and Environment Changes
- In the Forgotten Ruins Map, the dungeon section will now always have at least 4 hooks, so survivors and killers won’t get stuck without enough places to hook.
- Passage locations in the Forgotten Ruins have been moved so they aren’t right next to vaults and pallets, making chases fairer.
- The time it takes for survivors to use a Passage is now 0.15 seconds longer, but for killers, it’s 0.25 seconds shorter. This helps balance escapes and chases.
Character and Gameplay Fixes
- Fixed a bug that sometimes made players “rubber-band” or snap back while moving.
- Fixed a stutter that happened at the end of certain actions, making gameplay feel smoother.
- Fixed an issue where Victor (from The Twins) could be recalled too soon after latching onto a survivor.
- Now, when Victor downs an injured survivor with a Pounce, he glows red so it’s clear he can be crushed.
- Victor can’t latch onto survivors who have the Endurance status effect anymore.
- Fixed a bug where Victor couldn’t move if you switched to him while a bot was crushing him.
- Survivors should no longer get stuck and unable to wiggle free if a hook interaction is denied by the server.
Other Improvements
- These fixes help make matches more fair and less buggy, especially when playing as or against The Twins.
- The changes to the Forgotten Ruins map make it easier for both killers and survivors to play without running into frustrating situations.
This hotfix is mostly about bug fixes and small tweaks, so don’t expect new killers or survivors, but you should notice the game feels better and has fewer weird problems!
