Game Description
DARK SOULS: Prepare To Die Edition is a super challenging action RPG where you play as a cursed undead in a dark, mysterious world called Lordran. You start out in the Northern Undead Asylum and escape to begin your adventure, trying to discover the fate of your kind and survive in a land full of monsters, traps, and secrets.
What Makes It Special?
This edition is the PC version of the original Dark Souls game, but with extra content! It includes the “Artorias of the Abyss” DLC, which adds a whole new chapter to the game. In this new story, you travel to the past of Lordran to stop the spread of darkness by battling new bosses like Artorias of the Abyss and Chimera of Tomb, exploring new areas like Oolacile Tomb and Old Ruins, and meeting new characters such as Hawkeye Gough. There are also new weapons, armor, and enemies to discover.
Gameplay
You play from a third-person view and explore a huge, interconnected world. You fight all kinds of tough enemies and giant bosses using swords, magic, and other weapons. Every enemy can be dangerous, so you have to be careful and learn how they attack. When you defeat enemies, you get “souls,” which you use to level up your character and buy items.
The game is famous for being really hard. When you die (and you will die a lot!), you lose all your souls and go back to the last bonfire you rested at. If you can make it back to where you died without dying again, you can get your souls back. If you die again before that, your souls are gone forever! Bonfires are like checkpoints, but using them also brings back most of the enemies you defeated.
Story
The story is told in a mysterious way, mostly through talking to characters, reading item descriptions, and exploring the world. You learn about the Age of Fire, the First Flame, and powerful beings like Gwyn, the Lord of Sunlight. Your character can choose to link the flame and keep the Age of Fire going, or let it fade away and start the Age of Dark. There are different endings depending on what you decide.
Multiplayer
You can play online with other players, either helping them or fighting against them. There’s also a PvP arena where you can battle others in special matches.
