Game Description
Cyber Knights: Flashpoint is a turn-based tactics game set in a gritty cyberpunk future where you lead a team of mercenaries on high-stakes heists. The world is recovering from wars and AI disasters, and now people are trying to make their fortune in this dangerous new society. You play as a special kind of mercenary called a Cyber Knight—a person with a powerful computer implant in their spine, which gives you unique abilities but also makes you a target in the criminal underworld.
Gameplay
The game is all about planning and pulling off heists. Each mission gives you the choice to sneak around quietly or go in guns blazing. Most of the time, you’ll want to use stealth, sneaking past guards, disabling cameras, and hacking security systems. If things go wrong and you get spotted, the security level rises, and more guards and tougher defenses show up. This makes every move feel important, and you have to think ahead if you want to escape with the loot.
Combat uses an action point system, so you can move, attack, or use special abilities in any order you like. There’s a cover system to help you survive shootouts, but fighting is risky—especially if you get stuck in a long battle. Usually, it’s smarter to grab what you came for and make a fast exit, using smoke grenades or other gadgets to escape when things get messy.
You can build and upgrade your own secret base, adding new rooms and equipment to help your team. Between missions, you’ll recruit new crew members, buy better gear, and plan your next jobs. There are lots of skills, perks, and cybernetic upgrades to customize your team, so you can create a squad that fits your play style.
Story and Choices
The story changes based on your choices, like which jobs you take and how you deal with your debts or rivals. Your main character’s background affects how the game starts, and you’ll meet all kinds of shady characters in the city. While the game is focused on sandbox-style missions and building your network, some players feel it could use a stronger main storyline.
Visuals and Atmosphere
The graphics are decent, with cool lighting in some areas, but some animations and sound effects can feel a bit rough or inconsistent. You can customize how your crew looks, which is fun for making your own unique cyberpunk team.
Why It’s Fun
Cyber Knights: Flashpoint is great if you like games where you have to plan, sneak, and think fast when things go wrong. The mix of stealth, action, and team management makes every mission exciting. If you enjoy games like XCOM or Shadowrun, but want more heists and cyberpunk style, you’ll probably have a lot of fun with this one. Just be ready for some tough choices and wild escapes!
