Thriving City: Song is a really interesting city-building game set in ancient China during the Song Dynasty. In this game, you get to be the mayor of a small village, and your job is to help your people settle down, grow food, and build a big, happy city. The game looks super cool because all the buildings and characters are designed to look just like they did in old China.
When you start, you have to collect resources like wood and food to build houses and other important buildings. You need to make sure everyone has enough to eat, especially when winter comes, because there aren’t many other food sources during that time. If you don’t plan well, your people might starve or get sick, so you always have to think ahead.
One thing that makes Thriving City: Song different from other city games is that you also have to deal with things like crime, fires, and even enemy attacks. You can build prisons to keep the crime rate down and fire towers to stop fires from spreading. Sometimes, the emperor will send you special missions, or your citizens will ask you for help, and if you complete these quests, your city gets extra rewards and everyone is happier.
There are also rumors that can pop up in your city. Some are good and bring more tourists or make your city work better, but some are bad and can hurt your reputation or make you lose money. You can try to stop the bad rumors by bribing people or sending them to jail.
The land in the game is made up of different tiles, like fertile land for farming or water tiles where you can fish. You have to pay attention to these tiles to make sure you’re building things in the best spots. There are also special places called Carriage Points and Burial Points that you need to connect with roads so your city can grow and people can be happy.
As your city gets bigger, you can build markets, temples, schools, and even train your own army to protect your people. You have to make lots of decisions about what to build and where, and every choice can change how your city grows.
